Faz hoje 80 anos que o Donald se estreou nos quadradinhos na tira dominical "Silly Synphony" com a história "The Wise Little Hen" (A Galinha Sábia) código INDUCKS ZS 3403, em 16 de Setembro de 1934 saía assim pela primeira vez nos jornais americanos. No Brasil foi publicado em várias revistas como "O Pato Donald" No.1500 e a "Big" No.11.
Em Portugal o "Jornal de Notícias" destacou hoje na primeira página este facto.
